We miss reaching our goals – How to make them your reality

Goals are dreams, but not dreams that are realized overnight. They are dreams that are achieved with care and determination, and since everyone dreams of something, you might as well make it a reality.

We all make new year resolutions, set up goals at the beginning of every year. Statistics show that 90% of those resolutions are lost by the end of January.

Using the understanding of the neuroscience of change and how our brain overprotects, let us see how we can do it differently for each of you. The purpose of this series is to help you move closer to what you want in 2022.

The formula for achieving your vision/goals is in 4 steps.

Step #1 – Setup:

The easiest way to make your goals a reality is to write them down. But often, the words become a blur. Having a written intent to work towards makes you accountable and ensures that you continue to progress. In this 1st step, you will articulate your vision/goals. It is a series of statements that help you focus on the objective for 2022. And once this vision is well established inside your neurology, it becomes 2nd nature for you. I demonstrated a step by step process of establishing goals & vision for 2022 in a live session on 2nd Jan. Here is the recording of the session. Please have a pen and paper ready, set up your goals, and make them stick.

Step #2 – STOP :

Some habits or beliefs hold you back. In this step, we will learn how to stop our negative thoughts and create space for something new to come into our lives. On 9th Jan ’22, we had a live session guiding everyone to list the things to STOP and how to make it a reality. You can find the recording of the session here.

Step #3 CONTINUE :

There are things you already do, qualities you have that you can leverage, and make them even more impactful to help you reach your goals. The reason to re-enforce is that even though you know about them, there may be doubts & fears to make them an even more prominent part of your life. On 16th Jan’22, we had a live session guiding everyone to identify and re-enforce things you must continue to do. You can find the recording of the session here:

Step #4 START :

What are the new things you can start to do to ensure that your vision is achieved? And bring it all together into a conclusion. A live session to guide this process is planned for 23rd Jan ’22. 

This weekly ritual is far beyond a simple meditation!

Each session is an intensive combination of meditation, sound therapy, guided learning, deep self-reflection and healing. Each session allows us to address different parts of our lives, create clarity of thoughts, emotional balance and improve physical and mental well-being.
